Our History

The year was 1999 – Herb, John & David put all their cards on the table, for fear that Y2K would be the end of times. Lucky for us, it wasn’t – it was just the beginning.

We began by helping unite job seekers with employers, providing staffing services for professional-level positions as well as temporary placements. Today, we are the leading voice in talent utilization and workplace strategy innovation. While headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina, our reach spans across the Southeast and beyond.

HTI has been creating unique solutions to combat employers’ most challenging issues and has gained a proven track record of excellence in workforce and project management, earning both local and international awards and recognition. As a result, we partner with some of the greatest companies in the world and continue to grow by creating new partnerships every year. Employers partner with us because we believe in finding and keeping the best people from entry-level to top tier management.

Our Founders

Our founders – Herb Dew, John Knight and David Sewell – have dedicated their entire professional careers to helping organizations realize their potential. Because of their passion for people, they had a vision of creating a company with a unique culture that encouraged development and growth. This vision became HTI. They have since grown their small staffing and recruiting operation into the Southeast’s leading voice in talent utilization and workplace strategy innovation.

An organization's strength is a direct reflection of values and principles it’s senior leadership exhibits on a daily basis.

Our Logo

Individuality • High-Touch • Cyclical

The fingerprint is one of the most unique characteristics on the body. Incredibly intricate and complex, the fingerprint defines individuality and uniqueness. We’ve chosen this as a representation of our business because people are at the core of what we do. Each person, fantastically distinct, drives our business and sets HTI apart from the rest – we aren’t like anyone else.

What sets your company apart?

Individuality

First, our logo symbolizes a fingerprint, representing each person's uniqueness & individuality. Every person's distinct talents work to strengthen our network. Like the solutions we customize for employers, no two are alike.

High-Touch

Additionally, our logo represents a human element, because at the core of our business are people. It's structure reflects our high-touch approach. And we believe that everyone who touches us can be, and should be, more successful.

Cyclical Nature

In the center, two swishes move in an elliptical motion. This represents the life-cycle of the workplace and of each employee. The movement gives a dynamic & energetic feel, reflecting the personality of our people & of our organization.

Community Partnerships

We are dedicated to giving back to our local communities, making a positive impact, and reinforcing our Why. Because of this commitment, HTI created our Time Talent Treasure initiative, or T3, which mainly focuses on children, animals, poverty, and supporting both active and retired military personnel and families.
