HTI is having a Virtual Hiring Event for Bosch Tool, ZF Lemforder, LeeBoy, and more for job locations in Newton, Dallas, Belmont, and in the Lincolnton, NC area! Direct hire and temp-to-hire Assembler and Operator positions available.

Pay Rates
– Production and Assembly Operators – $14 – 16.25/hour
– Mechanical Assemblers – $15 – 18/hour
– Welders – $17+/hour (depending on experience)
– Press Operators – $15+/hour (depending on experience)

Shift Hours
– 1st shift
– 2nd shift
– 3rd shift
– 12-hour days
– 12-hour nights
– Weekend shift

Production and Assembly Operator

Experience Required
– High school diploma or GED equivalent
– Ability to lift 20 or more lbs. repetitively
– Able to stand/walk for up to 8-hour shift
– Reliable transportation
– Ability to work overtime is a plus

Responsibilities
– Follow work instructions in order to manufacture quality products per Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices
– Follow production/assembly instructions, parts lists, diagrams, verbal instructions, and notes to perform specific operations
– Performs quality checks
– Meet production requirements by the customer
– Follow safety standards and policies
– Ability to multitask
– Be cooperative with co-workers in order to maintain a good working environment

 

Mechanical Assembler

Experience Required
– High school diploma or GED equivalent
– 6 months manufacturing experience preferred
– Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
– Experience putting together complex products
– Able to lift 40 lbs. repetitively
– Able to stand/walk for up to 8-hour shift

Responsibilities
– Plans assembly procedures, following written, drawn or verbal specifications
– Align components and bolt, screw or rivet them together
– Use of hand tools/power tools
– Follow safety standards and policies
– Use of measuring tools
– Use and understand blueprints
– Attention to detail
– Balance teamwork and individual responsibilities
– Follows policies and procedures
– Consistently at work and on time (attendance/punctuality)

Welder

Experience Required
– High school diploma or GED equivalent
– Minimum of 2 years work experience
– 1-2 years of training at a community college/technical school OR combination of training and work experience (ex. 2 years training and 2 years work experience)
– Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
– Simple math skills
– Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions

Responsibilities
– Positions parts in jugs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks
– Welds part or subassembly using blueprints or written work instructions
– Examines weld for bead size and other specifications
– Repairs broken or cracked metal objects, fills holes and builds up metal parts
– Lays out, positions and tack welds workpieces
– Welds along vertical or overhead weld lines
– Cleans or degreases parts

Press Operator

Experience Required
– High school diploma or GED equivalent
– Minimum of 2 years work experience
– 1-2 years of training at a community college/technical school OR combination of training and work experience (ex. 2 years training and 2 years work experience)
– Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
– Simple math skills
– Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions

Responsibilities
– Producing first quality sheets on the presses
– Proper and safe operation of equipment (press change times should be held to a minimum)
– Remove out of spec material and place in designated area
– Inspect finished parts
– Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings
– Some knowledge of software to run programs and basic computer skills a plus
– Ability to measure and calculate using whole numbers, fractions, decimals
– Ability to use basic measuring instruments accurately (tape measure, calipers, etc.)
– Experience on various hand tools (drills, grinder, saws) sanding machine and metal chop saws
– Report all problems/challenges with equipment or quality of product to leadman or Production Supervisor immediately

 

Job location will vary depending on company and plant location. All in the Lincolnton area.
