Production Operators

Experience Required
– High school diploma or GED equivalent
– Knowledge of “shop math”
– Ability to read and comprehend product drawings and written work instructions
– Ability to use measuring equipment (ruler, calipers, etc.)
– Basic computer knowledge and skills (i.e. Microsoft Excel)

Responsibilities
As a Production Operator I, you must possess basic operations skills as well as an ability to learn multiple areas of operations (including processes, equipment, and tools). Production Operator I’s must be vigilant in ensuring operations are safe and the quality at each operation meets our specifications. You will be asked to build products according to established safety and quality procedures and work instructions. Associates in this role are also responsible for achieving safety, quality, and delivery objectives provided by the leadership team.
– Carry out automated and manual production activities including: collecting the material from the airlock (ensure batch numbers are accurate), starting up machines – making sure to set the correct parameters, changing over the machine and operating machines according to procedures
– Complete appropriate documentation to ensure compliance with policies and procedures – including but not limited to routing information, batch control records, scrap/quality issues and scorecards
– Perform in-process quality checks during assembly including: taking samples according to the specified frequency, delivering samples to the lab for quality control as needed, checking the critical parameters (length, width, weld quality, etc.) per procedure, and checking finished goods for defects and performing final testing
– Pack the Finished Goods; packing to accurate parameters/specifications and ensuring use of the appropriate packing bags
– Execute appropriate 5S activities (simply, straighten, scrub, standardize, and sustain) to ensure area meets world class manufacturing standards
– Actively participate in continuous improvement events and projects (called Danaher Business System (DBS)). This will include: learning lean manufacturing basics (5S, Daily Management, Standard Work), volunteering for and participating in Kaizen events, identifying areas for improvement in the process, and performing structured safety audits as trained (Kamishibai)
– Perform general administrative tasks to support the production: inform supervisor of equipment malfunction or downtime, prepare receipts and batch documentation, print labels/Kanban cards, and manage Kanban cards (including scanning empty, counts, restocking, etc.)
– Enter dimensions/data in computer systems (SAP, Excel, Lotus Notes, etc.)

Warehouse Associates

Experience Required
– High school diploma or GED equivalent
– Warehouse/Shipping/Receiving experience preferred
– Must be able to lift between 15 to 50 lbs.
– Must be able to operator a forklift or other similar equipment
– Knowledge of SAP is preferred

Responsibilities
Responsible for receiving, picking/returning raw materials and sending finished products in order to meet the predetermined lead times within the warehouse and to optimally support the proper functioning of the warehouse.

Picking of production orders

– Answers telephone calls from production
– Collects goods in the warehouse according to a pick list/order list and places it on an assigned cart
– Uses a hand scanner to take the goods out of stock
– Takes care of the supply of goods for the machines in the cleanrooms
– Guarantees correct documentation of each picking order
– Replenishes the stock of the cleanroom (Kanban)

Return of production orders
– Takes goods back from production into stock
– Checks the production order and the goods
– Scans the returned goods with the hand scanner and places them in stock at the correct location
– Warehouse/stock management
– Keeps the stock in order
– Labels goods and stores them in the right place
– Does daily counts in the warehouse
– Takes goods from stock based on the scrap list (e.g. substandard quality, complaints, not solid, etc.)
– Solves SAP-related problems (e.g. production orders not in order, errors with shipments, etc.)
– Follow up of the dynamic Kanban articles

Receiving raw materials

– Receives all goods (e.g. raw materials, material, etc.) coming from the suppliers and checks/scans the goods
– Unloads trucks according to planning and safety regulations
– Informs the persons concerned
– Processes materials/raw materials that have been rejected
– Works according to the predetermined schedule
– Takes returns from customers back into stock
– Takes care of the documentation of deliveries

Shipping of finished products

– Collects goods in the warehouse according to a pick list
– Packs the goods and scans them
– Have the goods ready at their specific location for shipping/dispatch
– Loads trucks according to planning and safety regulations
– Takes care of the documentation of shipments
– Support & use of new DBS tools (e.g. Dynamic Kanban)
– Cleans the work environment and keeps the warehouse in order
– Is responsible for the correct handling of transport documents
– Can occasionally be called in in another warehouse department depending on the need for the work
