HTI Chattanooga was proud to partner with SETWorks (Southeast Tennessee Works) to help students earn industry recognized credentials for employment this summer.

The first cohort of SETWorks students completed their training this July. Training included classroom and on-the-job training. HTI recruited individuals to go through the program and also served as their employer during their training. We were also able to mentor the participants throughout the duration of the program. The students began with the OSHA 10 General Industry Training before working through Certified Production Technician (CPT) modules through the Manufacturing Skills Standard Council. The process gave students the opportunity to earn credentials for each module. Modules included safety, quality practices and measurement, manufacturing process and production, and maintenance awareness. The 13 individuals earned a collective 56 nationally-recognized credentials within advanced manufacturing and are able to use these skills in their new positions as a result.  We are proud to share that all graduates were offered full time positions upon graduation.

HTI is passionate about projects that help individuals in our communities develop work skills that further their job potential. Congratulations, graduates!
