HTI is hosting a hiring event seeking CNC Machine Operators, CNC Setup Techs, and Maintenance Techs for the JTEKT location in Blythewood, SC. JTEKT is one of the largest steering systems, driveline components, bearings and machine tools manufacturers in the world. CNC Machine Operator

Shifts Available

– 1st (6:00am – 2:30pm)
– 2nd (2:00pm – 10:30pm)
– 3rd (10:00pm – 6:30am)
– A shift (12 hour day shift)
– B shift (12 hour night shift)

Requirements

– High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
– 6 months manufacturing experience preferred
– Able to life 50 lbs. repetitively
– Able to stand for long periods of time
– Stable work history

Responsibilities

– Operates production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications
– Performs required work steps within specific cycle time
– Operates presses and other manual machinery including lathes, grinders, mills and similar equipment
– Performs frequent quality checks on finished parts
– Operates test equipment and interprets pass/fail data. Experience with SAP is a plus
– All other duties as assigned

 

CNC Setup Technician

Shifts Available

– 1st (6:00am – 2:30pm)
– 2nd (2:00pm – 10:30pm)
– 3rd (10:00pm – 6:30am)

Requirements

– Associate’s degree (Machine Tool Technology preferred)
– OR equivalent from two-year College or technical school
– AND/OR five to seven years related experience and/or training
– OR equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

– Determine causes of machine malfunction, and make adjustments or repairs in order for machine to process materials in accordance to specifications within a timely manner
– If unable to make repair, consult with Lead Setup and/or Maintenance and/or Section Leader in a timely manner
– Perform operational preventative maintenance as needed
– Check machine cycle time to ensure production process is in accordance with process specifications on a daily basis
– Utilize dial indicators, chamfer gauges, calipers and other measuring devices to ensure quality standards are met. If manufacturing process is causing quality issues, Machine Setup will stop production and consult with Section Leader and/or Area Manager immediately
– Perform routine inspections of parts to assist operators in meeting production schedules
– Operate and maintain adjustments of various machines as necessary to meet production scheduled and quality standard
– Record production results, quality checks, scrap, downtime and shortstops on a daily basis
– Assist on changeovers as needed
– To direct, lead and train other Setup associates/operators daily work assignments and accountable for the work performed for the line/department
– Knowledge of different processes (Grinding, Turning, and Assembly)
– Responsible for all 5”S” and general housekeeping daily. Perform major cleanup as needed

 

Maintenance Technician

Shifts Available

– 1st (6:00am – 2:30pm)
– 2nd (2:00pm – 10:30pm)
– 3rd (10:00pm – 6:30am)

Requirements

– Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, preferred
– Minimum 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience, without Associate’s or technical degree
– Advanced troubleshooting, mechanical, electrical, and fabrication experience
– Ability to train and assist others

Responsibilities

– Read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
– Thorough knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics. Ability to repair replace or modify systems
– Replace bearings, bushings, slides and any other machine components. Troubleshoot & replace pumps and motors
– Troubleshoot and maintain air compressor, chiller, evaporator, and coolant systems
– Troubleshoot & repair servo amplifiers and motors with minimal assistance
– Welding skills including MIG, TIG and stick for machine repair and or improvements is a plus– Ability to use fabrication equipment including metal shear, metal brake, saws, drills and other common tools
– Ability to understand PLC ladder logic to identify trouble on production equipment
– Troubleshoot and maintain CNC turning centers and grinders. Able to make machine backups– Troubleshoot VFD’s and motors
– Troubleshooting and analyzing machinery after rebuild or refurbish
– Ordering parts, scheduling, etc. with little assistance from supervisor
– Maintain 5s in all maintenance and facility areas. Organize spare parts with maintenance/rebuild shops
– Ability to train and assist others with daily maintenance activities. Assist project crew & facilities when required
– Other duties as assigned
