– Process Operator – $16.23- 18.67/hour

– Material Handler – $16.23-17.23/hour

– Process Technicians – $19.84-27.13/hour

– Section Leader/Technicians – $24.47-30.06/hour

Shifts Available

– Process Operators – 12-hour nights (7 p.m.-7 a.m. on 2-2-3 schedule) and 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts

– Material Handlers – 12-hour nights (7 p.m.-7 a.m. on 2-2-3 schedule)

– Process Technicians – 12-hour nights (7 p.m.-7 a.m. on 2-2-3 schedule), 12-hour days (7 a.m.-7 p.m. on 2-2-3 schedule)

– Electro-Mechanical Technicians – days (7 a.m.-3 p.m. on 2-2-3 schedule) (Monday-Friday)

– Section Leader/Technicians – 12-hour days (7 a.m.-7 p.m.) and 12-hour nights (7 p.m.-7 a.m.) ( 2-2-3 schedule)

Shift Hours

– 1st shift (6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.)

– 2nd shift (2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.)

Process Operator Position Overview

Operate machines according to the operator training manual and safety standards. This position adds value to Glen Raven by their commitment to achieve the highest level of production, quality, and safety as well as teamwork.

Responsibilities

– Follow company policies, safe work practices, prevent injury to yourself and other associates

– Report any unsafe work condition or any work-related injury to your supervisor immediately

– Startup, operate, and maintain machine

– Repair breakdowns and parts as needed

– Assist in removal and installations of patterns as needed on all machines

– Perform all long-term scheduled maintenance and lubrication

– Complete assigned maintenance work orders

– Considerable machine patrolling

– Perform quality checks and recognize potential quality and productivity problems

– Flag any damaged machinery and document in flag notebook located at computer desk

– Housekeeping and cleaning of machines

– Keep up with production needs

– Responsible for following work instructions

– Light packing responsibilities

– Maintain quality and productivity documentation for machine assignments

Qualifications

– Must have high school diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED)

– Previous manufacturing experience, preferred

– Ability to problem solve

– Good verbal and written communication skills

Material Handler Position Overview

Responsibilities

– Follow company policies, safe work practices, prevent injury to yourself and other associates

– Report any unsafe work condition or any work-related injury to your supervisor immediately

– Service operators and machines

– Pack Tray-Paks with yarn from the machines

– Push Tray-Paks onto scale to be weighed

– Record production

– Sweep floors

– Pack/Unpack roller boxes

– Push roller boxes of yarn onto scale to be weighed

– Properly Identify Tray-Packs

Qualifications

– Must have high school diplomas or equivalent (i.e. GED)

– Previous manufacturing experience

– 1 year of forklift experience

Process Technician Position Overview

Responsibilities

– Follow company policies, safe work practices, prevent injury to yourself and other associates

– Immediately report any unsafe work condition or work-related injury to the Manufacturing Manager

– Help maintain good housekeeping

– Technical fixing experience

– Walk job – look for chokes, breakdowns, or flags. Make repairs as needed

– Check all machinery for quality or production problems

– Make yarn and blend changes

– Help clean spindles

– Help size bobbins on spinning frames

– Change travelers when needed

– Fix flags when needed/maintenance

– Replace belts as needed

– Replace bobbin hangers

Qualifications

– 2 years of manufacturing technician experience is preferred

– Must have high school diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED)

– Must be willing to work overtime and weekends, as needed

– Good verbal and written communication skills are needed

– Basic computer skills are required

– Troubleshooting ability is required

 

Electro-Mechanical Technician Position Overview

Responsibilities

– Follow company policies, safe work practices, prevent injury to yourself and other employees

– Report any unsafe work conditions or any work-related injury to supervisors immediately

– Troubleshoot AC/DC drives and controls and understand electronic prints, wiring diagrams and manufacturers’ schematics

– Perform mechanical fixing duties

– Monitor plant operating systems including but not limited to HVAC, central vacuum system, fire system and air compressors

– Perform electrical troubleshooting of motors and controls

– Knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics and drive assemblies

– Able to perform preventive maintenance on all equipment as instructed

– Experience and proficiency in working with a variety of hand and power tools

– Proficiency at reading blueprints and ladder logic

– Monitor the Uster Sliver Data system and Uster Cone Data for potential quality issues

– Monitor on-line monitoring systems for potential problems and trends

– Perform all assigned tasks to the best of one’s ability

– Perform all assigned tasks safely

Qualifications

– 5 years of troubleshooting or Associates degree with 2 years experience

– Must have high school diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED)

– Computer knowledge and skills

– Proficiency at reading electrical schematic

– Mechanical aptitude with basic hydraulics and pneumatics

– Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed

Shift Leader/Technician Position Overview

Supervise and maintain the plant/processes. This position adds value to the Novelty Yarn Plant by the commitment to achieve the highest level of production, quality and safety as well as teamwork by ensuring an efficient plant operation.

Responsibilities

– Follow company policies, safe work practices, prevent injury to yourself and other associates

– Immediately report any unsafe work condition or work-related injury to the Manufacturing Manager

– Monitor associates’ job performance

– Daily and weekly reports and associate timecards

– Check machinery and product performances

– Help maintain good housekeeping

– Oversee associate operations of narrow warper, including creeling and loading and stripping (88) position creel – 5 lb. pkgs.

– Oversee associate operation of warp knitting machines, sample-sized ring spinning/winding equipment, doubling/twisting equipment and sample-sized opening/carding equipment

– Technical fixing experience

Qualifications

– 2 years of manufacturing technician experience is preferred

– Must have high school diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED)

– Must be willing to work overtime and weekends, as needed

– Good verbal and written communication skills are needed

– Basic computer skills are required

– Troubleshooting ability is required

– Supervising experience
