Converting Technician (Lock Haven)

Responsible for operating more than one type of machine in more than one department in a safe, competent, efficient, and productive manner.

Responsibilities

– Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times

– Follows necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations/guidelines

– Keeps a current logbook on machine operation, troubleshooting, and changeovers

– Maintains quality standards for the product being produced

– Ensures the proper raw materials are in place

– Keeps the machine and the surrounding area clean

– Assists maintenance personnel as required

– Assists with the training of other employees

– Completes all necessary paperwork properly

– Operates assigned machinery competently and productively

– Records appropriate information on proper forms to enable product traceability

– Takes direction from the Lead Process Operator

– Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so

– Show up for work, ready to work, everyday

– Become an expert at your position, but capable of performing them all

Paper Technician (Lock Haven)

Responsibilities

– Assists the Lead Process and DCS Operators, and promotes teamwork and ensures that safety, quality, customer service, production, housekeeping, and record keeping standards are maintained at all times

– Responsible for managing support functions including unloading raw materials and delivering to the production floors; operating the virgin pulper bale feeding system; supporting the Dry End operation; and supporting the Wet End and Stock Prep operation

– Follows GMP’s and other manufacturing regulations/guidelines

– Manages the respective papermaking support function. Receives work direction from the Lead Process Operator

– Operates select pieces of process and materials handling equipment

– Ensures all raw material inventories are maintained and communicates any issues

– Ensures quality and workmanship standards are met for the products being produced, and process and product quality checks are performed as required

– Maintains any required record keeping, and ensures shift-to-shift communication is maintained

– Practices good housekeeping by keeping the machines and surrounding areas clean

– Cuts up paper machine broke rolls and scrap, and properly disposes of the same

– Develops and maintains operating procedures and ensures all SOP’s are followed

– Communicates any and all operating problems and status to the Lead Process Operator

– Properly trains other Process Operator(s) and other team members as required

– Assists maintenance personnel as needed

– Becomes an expert at his/her position, but capable of performing all papermaking Process Operator jobs

– Understands the business and the impact of his/her position

Experience Required

– Has excellent safety and attendance performance, i.e. no corrective action or warnings

– Consistently follows all known and understood plant policies, i.e. break times, clothing and jewelry policy

– Completes all required LMS training and safety audits without prompting

– Has demonstrated consistent effort to achieve manufacturing goals by running equipment as efficiently as possible

– Has consistently demonstrated good technical skills, i.e. completes machine changeovers, start-up and adjustments to meet quality specifications with minimum support.

– Has demonstrated competent troubleshooting skills, i.e. can independently resolve, identify and explain most process problems on their equipment

– Is viewed as having initiative by department leadership, i.e. willing to work overtime, excellent housekeeping habits, helps others without being asked, stays engaged in work activities during slow periods and works diligently toward becoming qualified on other equipment

– Is viewed by department leadership as an individual who is respected by other team members for their work ethic and their ability to work well with others

Warehouse Specialist (Lock Haven)

Responsibilities 
Responsible for supporting Operations Manager, Project Administrator and other operations staff and managers with administrative duties

– Responsible for calculating accurate tallies and documentation during the loading and unloading, and warehousing process

– Responsible for quality/customer satisfaction in regards to product integrity during the loading and unloading, and warehousing process

– Operates radio frequency equipment to conduct inventory control movements, barcode scanning, and physical inventories

– Follows necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations/guidelines

– Responsible for observing safety rules and performing in a safe and efficient manner at all times

– Responsible for inspecting all equipment used on a daily basis and reports defects to Management

– Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of the warehouse facilities

– Performs scheduled preventative maintenance on all designated warehouse equipment

– Palletizes and stores the product in accordance to warehouse policies and procedures

– Supports production lines with material requests

– Assists Inventory Specialist with conducting inventories when necessary

– Provides accurate and legible paperwork to maintain an accurate database

– Insures the integrity and accuracy of all inventories on a daily basis

– Maintains an efficient product flow throughout the warehouse operation

– Assists with repack and labeling operations when necessary

– Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so

Experience Required

– High school diploma or equivalent required
– Previous fork truck experience preferred

Production Technician (McElhattan)

Responsible for operating a machine in a safe, competent, efficient, and productive manner.

Responsibilities
– Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times
– Follows necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations/guidelines
– Keeps a journal of the operation of the machine and troubleshooting that was done
– Maintains quality standards for the product
– Ensures the proper raw materials are in place and covered at the machine
– Keeps the machine and the surrounding area clean
– Performs the duties of a Line Leader when necessary
– Assists maintenance personnel as required
– Follow instructions of the Line Leader
– Assists with the training of other employees
– Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so

Experience Required
– Completion all required training and assessments
– Ability to effectively operate one machine technology
– Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
– Ability to communicate orally and written
– Ability to work in a team orientated environment
– High school diploma or equivalent required
– One to two years of trade school or college preferred
– Three years manufacturing experience preferred
– Prior computer experience preferred

Physical Requirements
– Walk/stand 100% of time during a 12–hour shift
– Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting throughout shift
– Occasional reaching overhead during shift
– Frequent pushing and pulling with arms throughout the shift, including materials requiring up to 10 pounds of force to maneuver
– Frequent lifting or carrying of boxes weighing up to 30 lbs. or material weighing up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, and waist to shoulder
– Constant use of hands and occasional use of foot control
– Constant light and firm grasping with hands throughout shift
– Operation of hand trucks, powered industrial equipment throughout shift
– Continuous housekeeping by sweeping and organizing floor and work area
– Occasional climbing of steps, ladders

Warehouser (McElhattan)

Responsible for calculating accurate tallies of finished goods and raw materials and supplying it to production when it is needed.

Responsibilities
– Calculates accurate tallies and documentation during the loading, unloading, and warehouse process
– Inspects all equipment used on a daily basis and report defects to Management
– Maintains an efficient product flow throughout the warehouse operation
– Maintains good housekeeping of the warehouse area
– Supports production lines with material requests
– Provides accurate and legible paperwork to maintain an accurate database
– Insures the integrity and accuracy of all inventories on a daily basis
– Operates the Radio Frequency Gun to conduct movements, barcode, and inventories
– Assists with repack and labeling operations when necessary
– Observe all safety rules and use proper safety equipment at all times
– Insure the quality of the palletized product and store it in accordance to warehouse policies and procedures
– Assist in the performance of preventative maintenance
– Provide accurate and legible documentation of any issues and concerns
– Provide accurate and legible documentation of product changes
– Follow the proper procedures of Lock Out Tags policy
– Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so

Experience Required
– Knowledge of product codes
– Strong mathematical skills
– Ability to operate a forklift
– Ability to work in a fast paced environment
– Ability to work in a team oriented environment
– Ability to operate computer equipment
– High school diploma or equivalent

– Frequent light grasping and occasional strong grasping during shift
